We're not entirely sure how this has ended up on a shoe but the collection appears to be modelled on the same newspaper wrap used on the first-generation evoPOWER Stampa to unveil Mario Balotelli as a PUMA athlete. The concept, complete with Balotelli shoutouts (still not sure why) is back to land on the XT2 and R698, two of PUMA’s classic runners.
Both sneakers will be presented in an all over newspaper print, made up of PUMA headlines just like the Stampa, along with black, white and red detailing. It's not the first time we've seen the on-pitch game effect a brand's streetwear line up recently with Nike dropping both the Free Mercurial Superfly and Air Footscape Magista already this year.
