After announcing the capture of their second Premier League club Warrior have wasted no time unveiling next season's Stoke City home and away shirts. Taking a modern day approach on traditional club classics Stoke's new strips are inspired by the town's 'potteries' history.
Stoke is famous for its ceramics industry and Warrior has paid homage to this with the ‘Ready to Fire’ campaign (#ReadyToFire); history playing a big role in the designs of the new shirts. The shirts have been engineered using Warrior War-Tech ‘embedded technology’ which works as an in-built temperature regulator.
For the home shirt, the iconic red and white stripes have been applied using sublimation print, combined with a four-way stretchable mesh to the sleeve cuff and underarm panel for extra ventilation.
Manager Mark Hughes said “Stoke City is known the world over for their red and white stripes and the one of the most important things for the fans is staying true to the heritage of their club. Warrior has done just that with the home kit and bringing back the sash on the away shirt that I’m told featured in the 1970s is a nice touch that I’m sure fans will appreciate.”
The away shirt silhouette draws inspiration from various eras of the clubs past; the collared shirts of the 1940s are blended with the front panel sash of the 1970s. It’s a fresh, modern twist on a familiar colour configuration using bold block designs and edgier colour shades, which makes the overall look a visually striking kit.
