Today's St George's Day celebrations had us hampering after one boot in particular here at SoccerBible. After some digging around in our archive room, we eventually uncovered the boots we were looking for and here they are - the limited edition Umbro England Speciali.
Launched back in March 2009, the Umbro England Speciali was released in line with the Three Lions new home strip, worn for the first time against Slovakia. Skipper John Terry was the man honoured with giving the boots their on-pitch debut as England recorded a comfortable 4-0 win.
As a premium release, Umbro only made 283 pairs of the England Speciali, each of which came with a limited edition box and boot care kit. The all-white boots represented everything brilliant about the Umbro Speciali. The stand-out feature was of course the England crest which adorned both the insole and outsole of the boots.
A true classic that gets better every time we look at it! Let us know what you think of the Umbro England Speciali. Join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
