SoccerBible present our exclusive images of Umbro's latest addition to the boot market - the Umbro Stealth II football boots. We've just got our hands on this new Umbro release so stay tuned to the SoccerBible for a full feature breakdown - let us know your first impressions of these brand new football boots from Umbro...
On first impression, there are a few obvious changes from the original Stealth football boots. Umbro have changed the previous synthetic upper to full leather, designed to offer further comfort and feel for the ball. Visually, the Umbro Stealth II looks more sleek and streamlined than its predecessor. The Umbro logo has moved from the side of the boot to the outside front and provides embossed medial grooves designed to offer greater touch and purchase.
Umbro released the Stealth football boots earlier on in the year as a boot intended for players who think and play with sharp instincts, skill and stealth. Umbro marketed the boots towards the player who uses his wits and natural football ability to out-think, out fox and outplay his opponent. Soon after its release, the Stealth boots were making their presence felt on the world stage, appearing on the feet of professionals such as Gael Clichy, Phil Jagielka and Wilson Palacios.
Stealth is built around the core features of speed, power, comfort and touch, for footballers to play smarter football. The result is ‘Stealth Advantage’, which will help the wearer become one of the most dangerous and unpredictable players on the pitch.
The Stealth will deliver unique comfort through stable cushioning under the out-soles, supportive insole cushioning for efficient push-off and the innovation of a small tab in the tongue to allow the boot to fit flush on the foot. A large surface area combined with a startegic lacing system delivers a muscular strike zone for controlled power, whilst microfibre air pockets built into the super-sensitive leather upper add flexibility and make the player feel lighter and faster on their feet.
The fact that Umbro have opted for a full leather upper with the Stealth II soccer shoes will undoubtedly go down well with a lot of people. With Umbro positioning this boot within the 'control' category, it makes sense for Umbro to utilise the added feel and touch a leather upper brings to a football boot.
The new Umbro Stealth II football boots are available to pre-order now ahead of a 1st of December release date. In terms of price, Umbro maintain their growing reputation of providing top-end boots at reasonable prices; the Umbro Stealth II will only set you back around £90 GBP.
