Under Armour give a mellow refreshment to the Speedform silo to kick off the new year in low-key style. Adding to their diverse collection of colourways, the new "Black/Graphite/Hi-Vis Yellow" drop sits at the safer end of the scale.

Launched in May 2015 the Speedform arrived as the brand's most advanced and most impressive football boot to date, opening doors in the professional game all the way down to grass-roots. With a steady stable of pros on their books lead by Manchester United's Memphis Depay Under Armour have slipped into the market with an elegance and class that is being noticed each week as more players move into the silo throughout the leagues.



From a brand that overtook adidas as the industry's second most successful brand in the United States perhaps it's no surprise to see the success of Under Armour's introduction into European football. What Under Armour have done well with the Speedform is that they've made it unique by installing their own concept originally used in their running products - a one-piece upper and articulated toe box produces a customised fit and a lightweight chrome sole-plate and seamless heel cup keeps the weight down to a respectable 210g. The fact that it's all wrapped up in another tidy colourway makes it a realistic and worthwhile selection.
