Under Armour Blur Carbon IV Football Boots - Black/Electric/Orange & Yellow/Navy - Football Boots

Under Armour have returned to the ring with their fourth generation Blur Carbon. Taking the silo in a new design direction, Under Armour have scrapped many of the features that came with the ballsy and futuristic Blur Carbon III. On offer now is a more refined and traditionally constructed modern speed boot.

The previous Blur Carbon III arrived in a unique package, constructed with a newly engineered microfibreELITE upper and weighing just 177g. The Blur Carbon IV uses a microfibre synthetic, bringing the boots in line with the market's other speed boots. Hit the scales and there's a lot more to this boot than its predecessor.





A total of 225g have been packed into the Blur Carbon IV, demoting it from the super-lightweight league of today's modern speed rivals. Elsewhere a more traditional, off-centre lacing system replaces the not-so-popular lacing of the III. Under Armour have though kept some of the Blur Carbon III's more popular features.





For the outsole, Under Armour use carbon fibre combined with a Pebax plate to offer enhanced lightweight support and stability in the heel and mid-foot when making sharp lateral movements. Five conical studs feature across the forefoot, combining with a more balded design towards the mid-foot and heel area.  





The popular 4D Foam foot-bed continues to provide optimal comfort while reducing boot pressure. The insole keeps you lower to the ground, increasing stability and shock absorption. A bottom layer of Micro G provides additional support and responsiveness.





While the spotted graphic across the heel area might not be to everyone's taste, the two colourways on offer both bring something different to the table. The bright Yellow/Navy sees Under Armour follow the hi-viz trend, seen a lot this winter, while the Black/Electric/Orange edition takes a more neutral approach.
