Tottenham Hotspur complete their 2012/13 Under Armour replica collection with the virtual release of their new third strip. Spurs have teamed with EA Sports to unveil their new black and grey third kit, demonstrated for the first time in the anticipated FIFA 13 game due this September.
The short clip gives us a quick look at Spurs' new colours as they take on Premier League Champions Manchester City at White Heart Lane – a ground that was previously dropped from FIFA 12 but is to be re-introduced on the new version.
The design features two halves of grey and black with a yellow trim on the sleeves, collar, shorts and socks. The third kit completes UA's debut replica line-up for the North London club who have partnered with the American sports company for the first time this season.
Under Armour's partnership with Tottenham Hotspur has been well received so far, with the home and away kits getting a positive reaction. But Spurs fans are already divided over the new third kit, with the black and grey design not being to everyone’s taste. If Under Armour were going to experiment, at least they saved it for the third strip!
The launch video sees Tottenham stars Gareth Bale, Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe mastermind a 2-0 home defeat of Manchester City – they were never going to lose were they! It's just disappointing the FIFA bods didn’t kit the adizero trio out in the Black/Silver/Lime colourway which would have been a perfect fit!
