PUMA and Ferrari have reignited their relationship six years after their first collaboration on the v1.815 boot in 2009, named after the very first Ferrari the Auto Avio Costruzioni (AAC) 815. The latest edition will see a limited run of 949 pairs worldwide, a number that reflects the foundation of Ferrari by Enzo F. in 1949.
The rise of the speed boot has forever been inspired by the innovative technology that goes into the design of elite sports cars, with lightweight performance and style at the heart of the specification of both products. The influence of Ferrari sports cars can be seen all over the design of the evoSPEED 1.3 F947 football boots; windows in lateral and medial side of boot are designed to reduce weight and mimic air intakes on Ferrari cars, and brown accents on the collar and tongue pay tribute to the premium leather interiors of the Ferrari brand.
The Ferrari logo sits at the bottom of the laces as well as inside the heel and the stability frame is called out in a carbon effect borrowed from Formula One, where carbon is used to provide lightweight stability and protection. When it comes to collaborations no brand are more on point than PUMA.
The PUMA evoSPEED 1.3 F947 is slapped with a £220 price tag and is available to pre-order at selected online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer for a 12/03 launch.
