The next instalment of PUMA's new speed silo has surfaced, in a colourway and design reminiscent of the current PowerCat Graphic. The new brightly coloured evoSPEED 1 FG is a Spring 2013 release, and in such vibrant colours will certainly get noticed on-pitch.
A successor of sorts to PUMA's v1 series, the evoSPEED is a young range in boot terms but being popularized by the likes of Sergio Aguero and Radamel Falcao, PUMA's latest speed offering is proving to be a success.
A balanced blend of lightweight, flexible and comfortable fit, the PUMA evoSPEED 1 Graphic football boots are released in synthetic and firm ground option only. Blending shades of Yellow, Blue and Scarlet, the upper of the evoSPEED Graphic features a bespoke texture which sets this shoe apart from the range.
The upper offers the standardized synthetic touch and fit, utilizing a single-layer microfibre material to minimize weight and maximize touch, flexibility and reactivity. The one-piece outsole provides stability and support through the external heel counter, and the stud configuration and flex at the fore of the outsole provide traction and acceleration.
The look is an aesthetically pleasing one for PUMA, who find themselves borrowing colour elements from the Cesc Fabregas inspired PowerCat, a boot designed to reflect Cesc's Catalan roots. There are seemingly no plans to unify the look across all PUMA ranges, but in tribute the new evoSPEED 1 does carry the name 'Graphic'.
The new Yellow/Blue/Scarlet PUMA evoSPEED 1 Graphic football shoes are available to pre-order now ahead of a January 14th release. On limited release in synthetic, the soccer boots can be ordered for around £140 GBP / €165 EURO / $170 USD (FG).
