Puma make a move to toughen up the v1.11 speed series, showing the boots darker side with the release of the new Charcoal/White/Fluo Peach colourway, designed in contrasting fashion to the recent White/Pink/Navy release.
Since the launch of the v1.11, each boot has been designed with the primary focus on eye-popping colour. For the first time we see how Puma's speed silo looks mean and moody...with touches Fluo Peach added just for fun! Take a look and let us know what you think online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
The Puma v1 speed range has gained a stronger following since the release of the v1.11. With an exciting player roster capable of rivalling both Nike and adidas' speed line-up, the Puma v1.11 has already racked up an impressive goal-tally this season. Led by goal-machines Sergio Aguero and Mario Gomez, it's been a busy time in front of goal for the unmistakable boot!
It can't be easy having to compete with the Mercurial or F50 series, but Puma are a brand who have shown they are more than capable in the speed market, and as proof you need look no further than the players choosing to wear the Puma v1.11 football boots. Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao, Yaya Toure and Mario Gomez are just some of the names who have been responsible for the v1.11's high on pitch presence this season!
As with every incarnation of the v1 range the focus is on player speed, which starts right underneath your toes. The v1.11 sole-plate features a carbon fibre composite in the forefoot, helping to provide optimal pressure distribution, reactivity and flexibility for an ultra-responsive outsole during movement.
In addition, the new v1.11 soccer cleats enable greater playing stability, through an external heel counter and a Pebax frame that provides support to the outsole. The midfoot area is reinforced with a TPU composite which secures further stability and helps to avoid midfoot bending. This increased stability also enables an optimal traction as well as manoeuvrability, provided through the pointed stud configuration.
The Puma v1.11 football boots are the third generation boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, which marries the boot together for a consistent fit. This combines with an anti-slip insert under the heel for a boot that will not only fit snug but will support the foot and prevent slippage.
The central lacing system has been made easier to access with the introduction of a new lace-cover, probably the most striking feature. The lace-cover provides a unique look and is adorned with the Puma motif. It is held down by an elastic strap and a TriHook fastener to ensure a snug fit and tighter fastening than the previous v1.10.
