After the huge success of Puma's Project Pink breast cancer awareness campaign that brought us one of the most eccentric football boot colourways since the infamous Vapor Berry, Puma have treated their latest v1.11 drop to another splash of everyone's favourite colour they love to hate – pink!
The Puma v1.11 has been one of the most eye-catching football boots across Europe over the past nine months, since the release of the Green/Navy/White launch colourway. Puma's growing roster of deadly goal-scorers including Sergio Aguero and Mario Gomez have ensured the brands popular speed silo stays firmly in the spotlight.
The new White/Pink/Navy colourway is Puma's second v1.11 to feature a white upper, but with new additions of neon pink bringing this boot energetically to life, this is certainly one of our favourite designs to hit the v1.11 range. Mario Gomez is a known fan of white boots, so we might not have to wait long before we see the Bayern Munich striker banging in the goals wearing Puma's latest release!
It can't be easy having to compete with the Mercurial or F50 series, but Puma are a brand who have shown they are more than capable in the speed market, and as proof you need look no further than the players choosing to wear the Puma v1.11 football boots. Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and Mario Gomez are just some of the names who have been responsible for the v1.11's high goal count this season!
As with every incarnation of the v1 range the focus is on player speed, which starts right underneath your toes. The v1.11 sole-plate features a carbon fibre composite in the forefoot, helping to provide optimal pressure distribution, reactivity and flexibility for an ultra-responsive outsole during movement.
In addition, the new v1.11 soccer cleats enable greater playing stability, through an external heel counter and a Pebax frame that provides support to the outsole. The midfoot area is reinforced with a TPU composite which secures further stability and helps to avoid midfoot bending. This increased stability also enables an optimal traction as well as manoeuvrability, provided through the pointed stud configuration featured on this new boot.
The Puma v1.11 football boots are the third generation boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, which marries the boot together for a consistent fit. This combines with an anti-slip insert under the heel for a boot that will not only fit snug but will support the foot and prevent slippage.
The central lacing system has been made easier to access with the introduction of a new lace-cover, probably the most striking feature. The lace-cover provides a unique look and is adorned with the Puma motif. It is held down by an elastic strap and a TriHook fastener to ensure a snug fit and tighter fastening than the previous v1.10.
The White/Navy/Pink Puma v1.11 football boots are available to pre-order today ahead of a March 25th launch. If you want to bag a pair of the new Puma v1.11 speed boots, they will retail for around $180.00 USD / £135.00 GBP / €155 EURO.
Once again, Puma have delivered an eye-popping colour-update to the v1.11 speed range that we can't wait to see on pitch. Let us know what you think of the new White/Navy/Pink Puma v1.11 football boots. Share your thoughts and join the conversation online, on Twitter and on Facebook.
