With an increasing number of players making the switch into the v1.11 speed boot, Puma have decided to release these Yellow/Purple/White versions which are certainly going to enhance the boots on-pitch visibility!
It can't be easy having to compete with the Mercurial or F50 series, but Puma are a brand who have shown they are more than capable in the speed market, and as proof you need look no further than the players choosing to wear the Puma v1.11 football boots. With recent converts Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure, Asamoah Gyan and Radamel Falcao added to a list already including the likes of Samuel Eto'o and Steven Peinaar, the v1.11 is clearly a boot with pedigree in the game.
The v1.11 is the latest incarnation of the Puma v1 Speed range, and there are various features that will instantly grab you with the new Puma v1.11 football boots, not least the radically overhauled lace-cover! But as with every incarnation of the v1 range the focus is on player speed, which means honing the technology Puma has been developing for over 5 years.
The focus of the Puma v1.11 football boots is speed, which starts right underneath your toes. The v1.11 sole-plate features a carbon fiber composite in the forefoot, helping to provide optimal pressure distribution, reactivity and flexibility for an ultra-responsive outsole during movement.
In addition, the new v1.11 soccer cleats enable greater playing stability, through an external heel counter and a Pebax frame that provides support to the outsole. The midfoot area is reinforced with a TPU composite which secures further stability and helps to avoid midfoot bending. This increased stability also enables an optimal traction as well as manoeuvrability, provided through the pointed stud configuration featured on this new boot.
The Puma v1.11 football boots are the third generation boot that uses the special UNI technology, where the upper material is stitched rather than glued to the sole, which marries the boot together for a consistent fit. This combines with an anti-slip insert under the heel for a boot that will not only fit snug but will support the foot and prevent slippage.
Comfort comes from the foam insole that once again rides up to offer support and stability to the heel, whilst Puma have increased the volume of the area around the heel and boot collar for a slightly wider fit.
The central lacing system has been made easier to access with the introduction of a new lace-cover, probably the most striking feature. The lace-cover provides a unique look and is adorned with the Puma motif. Held down by an elastic strap and a TriHook fastener to ensure a snug fit and tighter fastening than the previous v1.10, the lace-cover offers a cleaner kicking surface.
Puma have dropped their textile material, and instead the Puma v1.11 soccer shoes features a premium lightweight microfiber upper material. Softer than on previous incarnations, the new upper gives a comfortable fit and great ball feel, with slight padding around the toe area for enhanced ball control and touch. Finished in this bright Yellow, the Puma v1.11's will be very visible on the pitch and create a unique look
