Usually reserved for the professional elite before a boots official launch, white-out football boots have become a regular boot-spy feature here on SoccerBible - most noticeably with the adiPower and PowerCat 1.12. SoccerBible can now announce that Puma will release a strictly limited number of these triple white Puma PowerCat 1.12 football boots.
After signing some of footballs biggest names including Sergio Aguero, Radamel Falcao and most recently Cesc Fabregas, the brand are heading into a new and exciting era. The upcoming Puma PowerCat 1.12 is looking to shake up the boot market by offering one of the most competitive alternatives to Nike and adidas' high flyers.
This is our first real look at the all new Puma PowerCat 1.12 football boots. The long-anticipated successor to the PowerCat 1.10, Puma's new power boot is ready to impress. With the recent release of the Nike T90 Laser IV and adidas Predator adiPower, the Puma PowerCat 1.12 finds itself competing with some of the hottest boots on the market!
The Puma PowerCat 1.12 features the new PUMA 3D DUO Power Shooting Technology, applied to
the kicking area on the inside of the boot. Made from an innovative thermoplastic material
with two different degrees of hardness, the boot has the advantage of being both highly
responsive with extremely high rebound properties.
While the technology on the top of the boot may have changed, the unique PowerCat outsole remains the same. The Puma PowerCat 1.12 outsole features the same bladed stud configuration from the PowerCat 1.10, which ensures smooth ground penetration and pressure distribution while providing maximum traction and manoeuvrability.
The newly created PUMA 3D PST DUO technology enable improved grip on the ball through its exposed elements, and instead of absorbing the energy it increases the kicking power of the player. The kicking area employs a soft K-Leather while the lightweight micro-fiber material in the lateral quarter supports the mid-foot and helps to keep the weight of the boot to a minimum.
The upcoming Puma PowerCat 1.12 will be a serious consideration for players after a new pair of boots, although these limited edition all-whites will be a real luxury, with strict numbers only set for production! For everyone else, the new PowerCat 1.12 could draw a number of Nike and adidas fans away from the T90 Laser and Predator! Or in the case of Cesc Fabregas, the Nike CTR360!
