Puma have built a strong reputation for delivering some of the most creative football boots on the market. This reached new levels with the release of the Tokyo PowerCat earlier this year. Now they look to have out done themselves once again with the new Puma PowerCat Elektro!
The designers at Puma must have some serious fun at Puma HQ! The PowerCat 1.10 has been subjected to one of the most unique upper designs we've ever seen here at SoccerBible with a stand out combination of colours and graphics. They're in line to brighten up soccer pitches in the new 11/12 season for those brave enough to wear them!
The new Puma Elektro PowerCat football boots deliver high intensity graphics with a bright combination of blue, white and 'dandelion' colours. Look closer and you'll see circuit board electrical detailing with a mixture of circular patterns that create a bizarrely effective look!
The graphics don't stop there. The outsole design is just as impressive, with it's own electrical graphic detailing combining with the bright yellow studs. Underneath the external visuals, the Puma PowerCat Elektro is home to the same boot technologies that has the made the PowerCat a consistent player in the power boot category.
The standout feature of the PowerCat football boots is the Puma 3D Power Shooting Technology (Puma 3D PST) located and built-into the boots kicking area. Designed to increase shooting power, while maintaining ball touch and feel, the 3D PST achieves increased shot power through its extremely high rebound properties, absorbing more than the typical amount of energy upon ball impact and releasing more power with every shot.
To improve fit, the boots have been formed around Puma's new anatomically-shaped PowerLast, an evolution of the Puma AptoLast. Which once again follows the foot's natural contours for a great fit, but provides more volume in the forefoot and instep allowing the upper to mould to the players foot. To further improve fit and comfort, the anatomically shaped removable sockliner provides cushioning and shock absorption.
Puma continue to take a less serious and more fun approach to their soccer shoe visuals with effective results. The latest PowerCat Elektro is evidence of this! They will retail worldwide for £130 GBP / $185 USD / €155 EURO and will be available to order from July.
