The Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots are synonymous with strength and power, so it's nice to see Puma launch these bright and sunny versions! Check out our full and exclusive reveal of the brand new White/Black/Orange Puma PowerCat football boots...
The Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots are one of the most interesting boots on the market, and in true Puma fashion are one of the most uniquely designed. Puma have taken their design brief of power and ball strike, and created a bespoke boot that's proven to be a hit with such players as Vidic, Chiellini, Carrick, Buffon, Crouch and Sagna.
The Puma PowerCat 1.10 soccer shoes are a great combination of engineering and comfort, and when you view the PowerCat in the context of the v1 speed range, you see Puma are pushing the boundaries of boot development.
The stand-out feature of the PowerCat football boots is the Puma 3D Power Shooting Technology (Puma 3D PST) located and built-into the boots kicking area. Designed to increase shooting power, while maintaining ball touch and feel, the 3D PST achieves increased shot power through it's extremely high rebound properties, absorbing more than the typical amount of energy upon ball impact and releasing more power with every shot.
For comfort, fit and ball feel, Puma have gone with a natural material and used a supersoft, premium kangaroo leather for the boot's upper. To improve fit, the boots have been formed around Puma's new anatomically-shaped PowerLast, an evolution of the Puma AptoLast. Which once again follows the foot's natural contours for a great fit, but provides more volume in the forefoot and instep allowing the upper to mould to the players foot. To further improve fit and comfort, the anatomically shaped removable sockliner provides cushioning and shock absorption.
The outsole of the Puma PowerCat 1.10 soccer cleats have an external TPU-injected heel counter. This is lightweight and 'finger-shaped' to cradle the heel of the foot, and provides optimal support and stability during movement and ball striking, whilst offering protection. The outsole also features a new bladed stud configuration, to ensure smooth ground penetration and pressure distribution, while providing maximum traction and manoeuvrability.
The Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots always seem to generate plenty of debate. They're a strong and unique looking boot, which are comfortable and a departure from the chunkier, more protective feel of their predecessor the v-Konstrukt series. This White/Black/Orange colourway is probably the softest we've seen for the PowerCat range, but there's always something clean and classy about a white football boot.
Puma have undoubtedly been able to develop some unique technology within the competitive power and accuracy market, whether they've won over the 'Predator' and 'Laser' majority is yet to be seen. But the injected Puma 3D Power Shooting Technology, the fresh Cat branding, and the supersoft kangaroo leather has made the PowerCat 1.10 a genuine choice for players of all positions.
The new White/Black/Orange Puma PowerCat 1.10 football boots are available to pre-order from today for a 15th June release, and are expected to hit the market for around £130 GBP / $210 USD / €155 EUR.
