Puma have added a new colourway to their vast array of v1.10 football boots, which currently consists of an eclectic mix of Gold, Lava, Kehinde Wiley, Blazing Yellow, Fluorescent Orange and Parachute Purple colours! The latest release is the Olympian Blue/White/Ebony, and you can check out the SoccerBible's full and exclusive images of the latest addition to the v1 family...
There are few boots on the market that can boast such an innovative combination of materials and engineering as the Puma v1.10, just one look at this boot and you can see it is different to anything else on the market.
The Puma v1.10 soccer shoes are engineered using micro-fibre synthetic material, thermoplastics and carbon-fibre, which all come together in a unique assembly configured for speed, and finished with some of the most bespoke colourways available on the market!
The microfibre material that covers the main upper from back to front is designed to deliver great touch, feel and strike of the ball. Enhanced with a print application to increase friction, ball control and accuracy, the upper is shaped with a lace-cover for better boot-to-ball contact.
Similar to a thin leather, the microfibre material is soft and flexible,
but has the advantages of being highly abrasive resistant. Featuring a central lacing system, the fit combines
with a comfortable last and insole, with the boot replicating Puma's successful AptoLast used during the v1.08 series.
The striking design feature of these Puma v1.10 soccer cleats is the traditional form-stripe. Engineered from a thermoplastic, the form-stripe is not just aesthetically pleasing but its texture offers enhanced outer foot ball touch and grip, plus it helps to retain the boot's shape and structure.
Speed performance comes from the innovative one-piece outsole, with carbon-fibre
embedded into the forefoot to distribute pressure and react to the foot
flexing. In the midfoot of the sole-plate there is a TPU reinforcement
(shaped as a 'V') to help with stability and prevent the midfoot
bending.
The v1 range has been around for quite a while now, and continues to stand up against the Mercurial and F50 series, which is the result of the design brief; give
confidence to be the fastest. Puma have continually achieved this through a
combination of materials working in unison to create a lightweight
speed boot, and anyone who has had the pleasure of playing in these will
know Puma have achieved this.
The new Olympian Blue/White/Ebony Puma v1.10 football boots are available to order now from selected retailers and will set you back around £135 GBP/ $215 USD / €160 EURO / ¥17600 JPY. And as always we'd love to hear all of your opinions on the new striking Puma v1.10 football boots.
