The new releases keep coming from Puma, and in particular for the popular v1 range. The latest addition to the speed family are these sleek looking black/white/puma red v1.10 football boots.
The Puma v1.10 is an evolution in speed and an evolution of the Puma v1 range, a range responsible for some of the most innovative and radically designed football boots we've seen. The Puma v1.10 football boots are visually striking, and this new colourway really looks slick with the gloss and matte black combined with the stand-out red and white Puma form-stripe.
Performance comes from a combination of synthetic materials making up the boots upper, which deliver great touch, feel and strike of the ball. Covering the fore-foot and new lace-cover, the microfibre material provides a great striking surface, and is covered with a print application to increase friction, ball control and accuracy. This synthetic material is similar to a thin leather as it is soft and flexible, but has the advantages of being highly abrasive resistant.
The medial and lateral quarter of the Puma v1.10 football boots, which
has a matte black finish, is made from a textile material. This
strong material has been treated with a dirt and water repellent
coating, and provides comfort around the ankle and collar area.
A bold design feature of the black/white/red v1.10 football boots is
the Puma form-stripe. Made from a thermo-plastic, the form-stripe is not
just aesthetically pleasing, because also its texture offers enhanced ball grip. And the thermo-plastic continues onto the instep of the boots,
to add stability and support to the boot's shape and structure.
Speed performance comes from the one-piece outsole, which has carbon-fibre embedded into the forefoot to distribute pressure and react to the foot flexing. In the midfoot of the sole-plate there is a TPU reinforcement (shaped as a 'V') to help with stability and prevent the midfoot bending. And the studs are mounted on a lightweight frame, and shaped for smooth ground penetration to optimise traction.
Puma have changed to a central lacing system for the v1.10 football boots, which improves the fit and combines with a comfortable last and insole. The boot replicates Puma's AptoLast, which was used in the v1.08 series and received positive feedback from the players.
The new black/white/red Puma v1.10 football boots are due to be released on 9th January in firm ground and soft ground sole-plates, with both costing around £120 GBP.
