When you think power, you also think strength, and the new Puma v-Konstrukt III football boots have both in abundance. However, there is also a soft side to these new football boots!
Unsurprisingly these are the football boots choice of the toughest defender in the Premier League - Nemanja Vidic, and this new red/black colourway is an ideal match with his Manchester United football kit.
The Puma v-Konstrukt III is a very uniquely designed football boot, with natural and synthetic materials combining for a very well constructed boot. The full-grain leather is soft and comfortable, with parallel stitching to hold the boots shape around a padded textile 'strike zone'. This 'strike zone' continues onto the tongue which folds over the laces, and is held down by an elastic strip attached to the boot and not the tongue.
A major driving force behind the design of the Puma v-Konstrukt III football boots has been comfort and protection, and to deliver in these areas Puma have designed a unique heel area. Engineered to cradle the foot, the heel area features Puma's DuoCell technology (visible below), where air pockets offer shock absorption to protect the feet and lower limbs.
The Puma v-Konstrukt III football boots may look unconventional but don't let that fool you. They are an extremely comfortable football boot with an upper that gives an all-over soft feel, and good ball touch. The off-centre lacing enhances the fit, and means a large leather area for boot-to-ball contact, and though the heel area may look elaborate it does the job and provides a solid heel counter.
We're expecting to see these football boots hit the shops and the fields from 1st July, but they can be pre-ordered and will cost around £100 GBP, which is significantly cheaper than alternative Power football boots from various other brands.
