Puma have released their succesful v1.08 football boots in this
striking new black/white/olympian blue colourway for the 2008/09 football season. These football boots will be worn by Nicolas
Anelka, David Bentley and Mauro Camoranesi.
The Puma v1.08 football boots are the most techologically advanced
football boots Puma has ever produced. Designed as a speed boot the
v1.08's weigh a mere 215 grams which is only 5 grams heavier than
Nike's Mercurial Vapor SL football boots.
Starting from the bottom the Puma v1.08 football boots feature a
two-piece outsole, which benefits the boot by not only keeping weight
down, but also enhancing the fit in the medial foot arch area. Within
the outsole is an integrated heel counter which supports the foot's
natural running movement, while offering stability.
The upper of the Puma v1.08 football boots is made from a thin,
lightweight and abrasion resistant textile material, with microfibre
reinforcements in the areas most needed to increase durability. The
lacing is off-centre to better distribute pressure from ball impact and
also create a larger kicking area. The kicking area improves your strike of the ball because of the grip texture on the unique uppers
material, also enhancing ball touch and control.
All of the Puma v1.08 football boots' technologies are incorporated
around Puma's anatomical last, following the natural curvature of the
foot to ensure a comfortable fit and supported by a carbon-fibre internal chassis.
