The Pantofola d'Oro collection is a mouth-watering line-up that football purists dream of. Since their recent re-emergence as one of the game's oldest football company's, Pantofola d'Oro have built a catalogue of classical boots for a new age. Hand-made, traditional leather football shoes have never looked so good.
Our recent trip to Pantofola d'Oros famous Italian boot factory gave us exclusive insight into the process of hand-making one of their shoes. The special treatment given to each individual boot is what makes the Italian company so unique.
While their methods have remained the same for over a century, one thing that's changed is the range. Now Pantofola's line-up boasts over 10 different models including (as seen below) the Sirio, Lazzarini, Piceno, Ascoli, Dream, 1920, Cometa and Antares. Quite a difference from the modern four-silo approach taken by Nike and adidas.
The changing nature of the boot industry has challenged Pantofola d'Oro to extend their collection beyond their staple black leather boot. It's a challenge they're happy to accept as comany director Kim Williams explained to us. "Of course the world is changing and we are developing strong collections which are more approved of by a new generation that are not just used to classical shoes."
Traditional design is at the heart of every model, while new styles and colours have added new life to a range that continues to expand each season. For the season ahead we're expecting Pantofola d'Oro to add even more flavour to their collection, with a few surprise releases planned for later this year.
