The collection takes in a number of garments and keeping things minimal though wrapping the collection with big style, it's an offering of all round good. While the lookbook above gives a sense for where this release is rooted, explaining the finer detail Managing Director of Jiberish, Pete Drago, drops the back story.
"We wanted to reimagine the Colorado Rapids franchise and brand through a vintage sports lens with a nod to the history of the State of Colorado and our natural surroundings. We used fabrics that address the unique weather we experience here. Materials such as 260gsm baby french terry for the t-shirts we created provide more warmth and comfort on cool days. Japanese 60/40 Cotton/Nylon blends were sourced for the popover jacket which has technical water resistant properties while still retaining a soft hand feel. The fleece used in our crewnecks and hoodies is our custom milled 375gsm cotton and is impossibly soft to the touch."
"The collection as a whole was designed to be interchanged and layered with multiple combination options. It was such a cool opportunity for us to work with MLS and our hometown team that we really went in on the design and production of the pieces. It would have been a lot easier to just make a few tees and sweatshirts on blanks but we decided to go completely cut-and-sew with the range either custom milling or sourcing all of our own materials at our favorite markets. We could not be happier with how it all came together."
Accompanying the lookbook, this short film is also served with on point styling and features Rapids players Shkëlzen Gashi, Marlon Hairston, and Dillon Serna. Sharp looking threads played out well, it's an enviable collection that hits the street game all over. Football fan just into fresh threads, this has it all - trimmed with strong type.
