Romelu Lukaku (Everton) adidas X 16+ PURECHAOS

Romelu Lukaku was back in adidas football boots this weekend as he bagged a goal and an assist in Everton's 2-0 win over West Ham at Goodison Park. The big Belgian striker briefly wore the adidas X 16.1 in the League Cup this season but then reverted back to Nike. Moving into the latest Stellar Pack design is the clearest indication yet that Lukaku is close to signing with the Three Stripes, ending his relationship with Nike.

Jozy Altidore (Toronto) adidas Copa Mundial

Joey Altidore was also on the scoresheet this week in a 2-0 victory. The US front man was in action in the MLS Conference semi-final playoff game against New York City FC and took things way back to turn out in the famed adidas Copa Mundial. A legendary boot that led the game for a generation, the Copa Mundial is the definition of timeless and is still doing the business at the top end of the game. Tongue-tucked style for the big man.

Karamoko Dembele (Scotland) Nike Hypervenom Phantom II

Karamoko Dembele became a bit of an internet sensation when he turned out for Celtic U20's the other week, at the age of just 13. Clearly one to watch and a player very highly regarded by his club, Dembele turned out for Scotland U16's this week as the Scottish FA try to secure his services early on in his very young career. He's eligible to play for Scotland, England or the Ivory Coast. Footwear-wise he's sporting a pair of Hypervenom Phantom II boots with trimmed down Dynamic Fit Collar. Customising like a pro already, even if they are size 5.

Alvaro Negredo (Middlesbrough) New Balance Furon 2.0

Alvaro Negredo switched into the latest New Balance Furon 2.0 design this weekend as Middlesbrough beat Bournemouth at The Riverside. New Balance's fifth colourway of the second-generation Furon 2.0 boot arrived last week in a crisp tricoloured brush up of white, blue and red. Not a bad match up with Boro's home kit.

Kayleigh Green (Yeovil) Nike Mercurial Superfly V

Yeovil Town Ladies secured promotion to the top division of the Women's Super League with a 2-0 victory at London Bees. Kayleigh Green was on the scoresheet wearing a custom pair of Nike Mercurial Superfly V boots that featured a silver upper with pink swooshes. Look out for them next season as Yeovil will go up against the elite of English Women's Football.

Steph Williams (Yeovil) Nike Mercural Vapor XI

Steph Williams' custom colourway was probably created a little quicker than her Yeovil Town Ladies team-mate's creative Superfly design. Taking a different approach to customisation, Williams has completely blacked out her Nike Mercurial Vapor XI boots and added a pair of white laces for a touch of something different.

Kamohelo Mokotjo (Twente) Under Armour Clutchfit 2.0

Under Armour celebrated their 20th anniversary with a limited edition Metallic football boot collection last month. The Spotlight and Clutchfit were wrapped in shining suits as the brand briefly looked back before continuing to power ahead into the new season. Twente's Kamohelo Mokotjo grabbed a pair of the Clutchfit 2.0 boots to wear at the weekend against Roda JC.

Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal) New Balance Visaro

Aaron Ramsey joined Alvaro Negredo in sporting the latest New Balance colourways on pitch at the weekend. Ramsey was in the "Atomic Red" Visaro silo, that on closer inspection, featured a modified upper. The distinct Visaro dimple texture isn't present on Ramsey's boots as the Arsenal midfielder has been equipped with a much smoother finish.

Milton Caraglio (Tijuana) adidas ACE 16.1

Tijuana are probably the most featured club on boot spotting. The Mexican club have applied a red boot policy to all first team players to match up with the club's colours. This leads to some smart custom designs and some pretty make shift ones too. Take Milton Caraglio's coloured in adidas ACE 16.1 boots. Job done.

Robinho (Atletico MG) Nike Mercurial Superfly V

Ex-Manchester City and Real Madrid forward Robinho is still holding out for a new boot contract it seems. Previously a Nike man in his hay day, Robinho has recently been wearing a blacked out edition of the Mercurial Superfly, presumably in hope of the Swoosh chucking some money at him to wear the latest colourways. If that call doesn't come soon, he'll need to nip down the Co-op and pick up some more felt tips.

Jacques Maghoma (Birmingham City) adidas ACE 16.1

It was honours even in the Birmingham Derby on Sunday as Aston Villa walked home with a point from St Andrew's. The pick of the boot spotting action came via the feet of Blues midfielder Jacques Maghoma who was wearing odd editions of the adidas X 16.1. A leather black version on the left foot and a synthetic white drop on the right foot.
