A typographic timeline that travels through the Champions League finals of the 1990's, designer Richard Debenham has blessed us with this illustrated journey that goes the distance and back again in exploring the creative beauty of the European game.

A royal blessing of different styles, from '92 to '99 each final is littered with hazey memories of glory though immortalised through design, this series marks those moments with brilliance. 



The tournament, established in 1992, brought a new stage for the elite to play out their footballing party. In that time, kits went through a kaleidoscope of different trends. Using these shapes, sizes, colours and fonts, Richard Debenham has taken reference from each winner to produce the personified dates.
