Ever the appreciators of the aura that beholds a stadium, whether it's big or small - Non League Day or Champions League final, the power these structures hold is captivating.

Outside our regular residence series, one that shows the modern beauty of stadium architecture, compounded by its scenic location is that of the Allianz Rivera in Nice. A power house of huge, this stadium that was opened in 2013 and plays host to OGC Nice. It's also a confirmed venue for the European Championships in 2016. A beauty.

These pictures courtesy of CJWHO give a glimpse of this monumental megastructure from various angles. One almighty view from above, it's backdrop is remarkable and as the sun shines on it in the summer of 2016, this will be one strong venue. A capacity of over 35,000 it's a huddle of a structure that is bound to keep the sound in.
