As the opening month of the season comes to a close we kick off the week in the only way we know, by scampering around to run the rule over the best, custom, latest and most random football boots on pitch from the past seven days. Over to you, get stuck in.

Josh McQuoid (Luton Town) adidas X 15.1

League Two Luton bowed out of the League Cup this week with their heads held high after taking Premier League Stoke City to penalties. Josh McQuoid's kit/boot combo was massively on point as he matched up his side's home colours with and Orange/White custom edition of the adidas X 15.1.

Cameron McGeehan (Luton Town) adidas X 15.1

Another Luton Town player, another adidas X 15.1 boot. Cameron McGeehan was the man who forced Stoke into extra time with a well taken goal wearing the new adidas "Eskolaite Pack" X 15.1 boot. The latest release from the "Limited Collection" adidas have produced a two silo pack that covered in Eskolaite, an uncommon Chromium Oxide mineral.

Roberto Carlos (World Stars) Mizuno Morelia

Roberto Carlos was laced up in a special edition gold Mizuno Morelia as a "World Stars" team took on an "Iranian Stars" XI in a charity match this week in Tehran. The legendary Brazilian full back was on the scoresheet along with Luis Figo and Pauleta as the World Stars won 3-0.

Mohammed Kasoula (Qatar) Nike Magista Obra

The Nike 'Tech Craft' Pack could well be one of the underrated collections of the year. On-pitch support on the professional scene was small with just limited numbers of players switching out of the "Lightning Pack" but the layer of leather on top of the boot is offering players a more traditional version of the Nike's Flyknit technology.

Riza Durmisi (Brondby) Nike Mercurial Vapor X

Brondby were dumped out of the Europa League this week suffering a 6-1 aggregate defeat to PAOK Saloniki but it was Brondby's Riza Durmisi who we had our eye on wearing the "Tech Craft" edition of the Vapor X. The Mercurial version is simply a colour update in comparison to the Superfly silo but looks equally as sharp.

Etzaz Hussain (Molde) adidas Predator LZ SL

It was Europa League joy for Molde who edged past Standard Liege thanks to Etzaz Hussain's vital away goal. Wearing the lesser-spotted adidas Predator LZ SL originally launched in January 2014 Hussain's boot has now been discontinued in favour of the adidas revolution but we're a lighter edition of the standard Predator design, an F50/Predator hybrid.

Liam Palmer (Sheffield Wednesday) adidas X 15.1

Sheffield Wednesday's Liam Palmer is a bit of a boot spotting regular with his keen eye for a custom design. Palmer wore a number of personalised Predator colourways last season but has now followed the adidas Revolution into the X 15.1 silo, which of course he's left his own mark on with a tidy black and white combo.

Billy Kee (Accrington Stanley) adidas F50 adizero

Billy Kee has also put his own touch on his footwear to bring them in line with his club's home colours. It'll be a fair few seasons before we see the last of the F50 adizero and the Accrington Stanley striker has customised his pair with a simplistic all red colourway for a smart look.

Mauricio Pinilla (Atalanta) Umbro Velocita

Atalanta striker Mauricio Pinilla continues to fly the flag for Umbro in Serie A moving into the new season wearing the "Black/Safety Yellow" Velocita update, a low profile contender for one of the smartest designs on the speed market and a definite winner of the best newcomer of the 2014/15 season.

Luca Toni (Verona) Lotto Stadio Potenza

Veteran Italian striker Luca Toni is still plugging away in Serie A as the only player in the league to wear an exclusive silo. Toni was awarded with a limited edition Stadio Potenza 'Luca Toni' 10+ boot last season to mark his long term relationship with the brand and just 120 pairs were produced, one of which worn here by the 38-year-old.
