As the season begins to come to a close we've picked out the latest batch of new releases, limited editions and custom football boots from the week in football. Knitted, unreleased, modified, take your pick, here's who made the cut from the past seven days.
Launched in November 2012, the second generation Nike GS boot landed with a limited number of young players slipping into the boot as the 'GS Squad'. Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling flew the GS2 flag in the Premier League before the silo disappeared from the pro scene, until Neri Cardozo brought it back this week.
The adidas Primeknit 2.0 has advanced rapidly from the first generation boot. The Primeknit Samba was worn by just one player, Luis Suarez, for one game, but the 2.0 has been taken up across the world as players have snapped up 'the world's best fitting football boot' as labelled by adidas. Gui Finkler was in action wearing a pair in the Melbourne derby at the weekend.
After announcing he was signing for Manchester United Memphis Depay rounded off an incredible title winning season for PSV at the weekend with another trademark free-kick. Under Armour have signed Memphis at the perfect time as he's set to enter the Premier League wearing their all-new silo, which they've yet to release any details on but peeled off the black-out design to reveal a debut colourway.
He's back again. Yannick Bolasie turned out at Selhurst Park in another pair of new boots at the weekend. The Crystal Palace winger must have one hell of a collection now with the latest addition joining in the shape of the Nike Mercurial Superfly IV 'Academy Pack' edition, an all black design inspired by football academies worldwide.
Valencia 'keeper Diego Alves switched into the new yellow/black Morelia Neo colourway to help his side to a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid on Saturday. Despite a number of their key players wearing the updated paint job Mizuno have yet to release the colourway, although a drop date can't be far away.
The New Balance tease phase continues as the brand have still yet to reveal any designs or details on their debut football footwear collection. Months of black-out and white-out designs have built momentum and the latest player to provide a closer look at one of the silo's designs is Kashiwa Antlers' Mituo Ogasawara.
The adidas F50 adizero Prime landed in January 2011 as the lightest ever model in the F50 series. The black/white/electricity colourway provided one of the slickest designs from the collection and remains on the feet of Brazilian legend Ze Roberto, who is now plying his trade at Palmeiras at the ripe old age of 40. Keep going son.
Roderic Filippi provided one of the custom spots of the weekend by pimping up hs Nike Tiempo boots with a touch of pink on the Swooshes, laces and heel counter. The Ajaccio captain has also added a splash of white on the instep to complete a signature look.
Lotto lifted the lid on their updated Zhero Gravity 2015 design last week and their crop of contracted players wasted no time in slipping in to the next generation silo. Sevilla's Coke was the most high profile of the group to make the switch to the VII 200 as his side drew 1-1 with Celta Vigo in La Liga.
Paul Pogba added another pair of modified Nike Magista Obra boots to his collection this week. Pogba has an eye for a custom design and the latest pair are his most unique yet as the in demand midfielder scattered the upper of his black and white wheels with hundreds of crazy symbols to score in a 1-1 draw with Cagliari.
It says a lot about a new boot when players switch into it without pressure from the brand. Along with a number of other players, Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko has managed to get hold of a pair of the Primeknit 2.0 and is wearing them instead of his usual F50 adizeros as the popularity of the technology goes to the next level.
