On a weekend where Nike shined through we take a look back at the latest, most random and old school boots on show from another action packed seven days of football.

Charlie Austin (QPR) Nike Mercurial Vapor I

Charlie Austin went seriously old school at the weekend by lacing up in the first ever generation Nike Mercurial Vapor originally launched in 2002. It was an eventful afternoon for the QPR striker as he was sent off just 2 minutes after scoring in the 2-0 win over Burnley.

Ross Barkley (Everton) Nike HyperVenom

The Nike 'Shine Through' pack made an on-pitch debut at the weekend. The clean looking collection is Nike's final boot pack of the year and saw all of their contracted athletes reppin' their respective silos including Ross Barkley in the HyperVenom.

Paul Scholes (Global Legends) adidas F50 adizero

The last boot we expected Paul Scholes to wear would be an adidas speed boot. The Man United legend spent his career in Nike but slipped on a pair of F50's to score twice in a charity game in Thailand this week.

Alex Song (West Ham United) Puma King Top 1982

West Ham moved up to third in the Premier League at the weekend after beating Swansea 3-1. Alex Song was the pick of the boot spotting action as he turned out for the Hammers in a classic pair of PUMA King Top 1982 boots.

Cafu (Global Legends) adidas F50 Yamamoto

Legendary Brazilian full back Cafu was up against Scholes wearing the adidas F50 Yamamoto. Cafu was predominantly a Lotto player in his playing days but mixed things up for the charity game by opting for the limited edition boot designed by Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto.

Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy) Nike CTR360 Maestri III

USA's most celebrated player retired at the weekend on a high. Landon Donovan hung up his Nike boots after helping his side secure the MLS Cup. For an American international there isn't many better ways to sign off.

Francesco Totti (Roma) Nike Tiempo Legend V

Another Tiempo colourway, another Totti custom. Nike know what the Roma god likes and by now it goes without saying. Totti was sporting the 'Shine Through' Tiempo Legend V release with his trademark modified fold-over tongue.

Leo Messi (Barcelona) adidas F50 adizero

Messi helped himself to another La Liga hat trick just 24 hours after CR7 had done the same thing for Real Madrid. Leo was once again in his new signature mirosar10 F50 boots that featured his usual stitched pattern on the graphic printed upper.

Olivier Giroud (Arsenal) Puma evoPOWER 1

Olivier Giroud has made the silo switch from evoSPEED to evoPOWER recently. The Arsenal striker was wearing the Pool Green evoPOWER against Southampton although his boots were modified to remove the padding on the forefoot of the upper to create a stripped back evoSPEED/evoPOWER hybrid which we're calling the evoSPOWER.

Robbie Keane (LA Galaxy) Nike Magista Opus

Robbie Keane scored the winning goal in extra-time to hand LA Galaxy the MLS Cup with a 2-1 win over New England Revolution. The Irishman was also sporting the Nike 'Shine Through' collection in the low cut Magista Opus.

Scott McDonald (Millwall) adidas 11Pro

Scott McDonald has spent most the season in the limited edition adidas Revenge Pack Accelerator for Millwall but switched into the new alternative 11Pro launch colourway at the weekend as his side were hammered 5-1 by Middlesbrough.

Geijo Pazos (Udinese) adidas F50 adizero

Udinese's Geijo Pazos was another player taking things back at the weekend with the first generation of the adizero series. The Chameleon/White/Electricity colourway was handed to Messi in May 2010 who wore it exclusively at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
