Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey has been the subject of much debate recently. The midfielder was spotted testing a mystery pair white-out football boots earlier this week, before putting them into competitive action in the Premier League and Champions League. With his adidas days seemingly behind him, early reports point to a potential deal with American brand Warrior. But with Warrior Football's imminent switch to the New Balance label - reported earlier this year - has Ramsey actually been training in the first NB football boot of 2015?
From the 2015/16 season, Warrior Football will be re-branded under the New Balance label, bringing an end to their three year stint in the market. The re-brand - which will mean the end of the Superheat, Gambler and Skreamer silhouettes - ends all likelihood that Ramsey is testing a fourth Warrior silo. Instead, we’re putting our money on this being one of New Balance’s opening gambits into the football boot market.
If New Balance have captured Ramsey’s signature, it will signal some serious intent from the American footwear manufacturers, who could also add Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj to their stable - the Belgium international is currently wearing a white-out edition of the Warrior Superheat. Ramsey wouldn’t have been short of offers following the end of his adidas deal and would no doubt have had an offer from Arsenal kit manufacturers PUMA. It’s all speculation at the moment, but expect some kind of announcement before the end of the year about the future of Warrior Football, New Balance and Aaron Ramsey’s white-out football boots.
