While the Premier League was coming to a close, Manchester City were being crowned as 2013/14 champions and Norwich were finally being put out of there misery, we had our eyes on who was wearing the hottest footwear from the newest colourways to old school classics.
It was a good weekend for Vincent Kompany all round. Not only did he captain Manchester City to their second Premier League title in three years he also scored during their 2-0 win over West Ham. Kompany used the last game of the season to show off Warrior's latest Skreamer colour update that will also feature throughout the World Cup.
Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson completed a childhood dream of scoring for his beloved Arsenal in Sunday's 2-0 win over Norwich, who's relegation to the Championship was finally confirmed. Jenkinson is the latest of a number of Mizuno contracted players to lace up the newest Morelia Neo colourway.
Saturday saw the end of the 2103/14 Bundesliga season although Bayern Munich's runaway title win was decided some time ago. The champions took on VFB Stuttgart who's striker Cacau decided to slip out of the Tiempo Legend V and back into a hi-viz Tiempo Legend IV.
Another new Warrior colourway was on show this week thanks to on loan Crystal Palace winger Tom Ince. The White/Gold Warrior Superheat was debuted during Palace's 2-2 draw with Fulham. The Calcio Catania defender helped his team to a 2-1 victory over Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Sunday.
Brazilian midfielder Jociel Ferrira da Silva, or 'Ciel' for short, took to the pitch in a pair of leather edition White/slime adidas adizero F50's yesterday as his Dubai based team, Al Ahli Club, beat Al Dhafra to win the Arabian Gulf Trophy.
Cardiff's Craig Bellamy also showed off the new Warrior Superheat colourway yesterday as the already relegated Bluebird's lost 2-1 to Chelsea. Bellamy scored Cardiff's opening goal to put them ahead after 15 minutes but two second half goals from Chelsea cancelled it out.
Nike's long standing CTR silo came to end last month and is being replaced by the Magista. The CTR's final colorway was an all black 'Lights out' edition as worn on Saturday by Sao paulo's Henrique Ganso.
Wayne Hennessey made his first start in Crystal Palace colours against Fulham yesterday in a pair of Nike T90 laser IV's. The former Wolves goalkeeper joined the Eagles on transfer deadline day in January, but has been kept out of the side by a string of fine performances from Julian Speroni.
