Just 1,998 pairs of limited edition Nike Mercurial Vapor XV boots were released to celebrate 15 years since R9 wore the original pair at the 1998 World Cup. Whereas most pairs have been kept as collectors items Enner Valencia is using his for what they're made for.

Ross Barkley (Everton) Nike HyperVenom

Ross Barkley did his World Cup chances no harm on Saturday as he opened the scoring with an expertly executed lob over England's no.1 Joe Hart. The Everton midfielder has been converted in the Nike HyperVenom this season from his old CTR's.

Joe Hart (Manchester City) Umbro UX1

Joe Hart slipped into Umbro's new UX1 silo at the weekend as the brand unveiled their new boot to be worn by their athletes at the World Cup this summer. Hart and City edged closer to the Premier League title with a 3-2 win at Everton.

Dave Kitson (Oxford United) adidas Predator LZ

Oxford's veteran striker Dave Kitson laced up in a complete blackout version of the adidas Predator LZ to play out his side's last game of the season against Northampton on Saturday.

Jeremie Aliadiere (Lorient) adidas adizero F50

Mention 'The Invincibles' to any Arsenal fan and they'll immediately drift into glorious day dreams of Jeremie Aliadiere running riot at Highbury. Ok, not quite, Aliadiere dropped off the radar after leaving the Gooners but he's back in the game wearing adidas F50's for Lorient.

Banel Nicolita (Nantes) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

The Nike Fast Forward series has appeared frequently on pitch as Nike reinvented famous Mercurials from previous World Cups. Nantes' Banel Nicolita has got hold of the 2002 editions worn at the South Korea/Japan World Cup.

Hulk (Zenit St Petersburg) Mizuno Morelia Neo

Mizuno's lead player Hulk laced up in the latest Morelia Neo colourway at the weekend. The blue/yellow paint job is inspired by the World Cup's host nation and will be worn by the Brazil striker this summer.

Fabinho Alves (Chapecoense) adidas adizero F50 Messi

Fabinho Alves was in Brasileirao Serie A action for Chapecoense at the weekend wearing Lionel Messi's signature adidas adizero F50 colourway.

Salomon Rondon (Zenit St Petersburg) Nike HyperVenom

Another boot spot from Zenit St Petersburg this weekend came via the feet of Salomon Rondon wearing a custom Nike HyperVenom colour way. Rondon's created a unique pair of black and volt boots with a devastatingly stealth look.

Andy Carroll (West Ham United) Umbro UX1

Another of Umbro's athletes to lace up in the new bold looking UX1 boots at the weekend was West Ham's Andy Carroll but whether Umbro will have two of their players on England's plane to Rio remains to be seen.
