Emile Heskey (Newcastle Jets) Nike Tiempo Legend V

England legend Emile Heskey is still plying his trade down under with Newcastle Jets. Heskey, now 36, has worn Nike boots for the majority of his career, including stints at Liverpool, Leicester and Aston Villa and has recently moved into the flash pack edition Nike Tiempo Legend V boots.

Lionel Sauli (Ile Rousse) adidas F50

The boot spot of the week came in the French Cup match between Bordeaux and Ile Rousse. Lionel Sauli of the fifth division side was sporting the very first ever pair of adidas F50's, originally launched in 2004. A decade on and the boot has progressed dramatically but Sauli's first generation boots are still going strong.

Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus) PUMA evoPOWER 1

Gianluigi Buffon moved out of the PUMA King and into the new evoPOWER silo at the weekend. The new boot is designed to deliver maximum power, ideal for goalkeepers to add that bit extra to goal kicks and clearances. For Buffon though the game against Lazio didn't go to plan with Italy's number 1 seeing red in a 1-1 draw, the first time Juve have dropped points since October.

Carl Jenkinson (Arsenal) Mizuno Morelia Neo

Carl Jenkinson was in FA Cup action for Arsenal against Coventry on Friday night. The Gunners full back was laced up in the latest Mizuno Morelia Neo colourway as Arsenal saw off their League One opponents 4-0. Jenkinson signed with the brand in the Summer to join an increasing number of Mizuno players in the Premier League.

Nicolas Anelka (West Brom) NikeiD HyperVenom

Nicolas Anelka has been through a few different boots so far this season and the West Brom striker was wearing another new pair on Monday night as the Baggies drew 1-1 with Everton. Anelka designed himself a simplistic white and black pair of Nike HyperVenoms and he'll have plenty of time to whip up a few more colourways when his suspension kicks in.

David Rozehnal (Lille) miadidas adizero F50

Custom colourways aren't uncommon in football with players looking to add their own style to their boots but one boot that has remained pretty much untouched is the latest generation adidas adizero F50. Lille's David Rozehnal has mixed things up by creating a unique pair of white and black F50's that looked top notch in his side's 1-1 draw with Rennes.

Luke Brattan (Brisbane Roar) Nike Tiempo Legend V

In our opinion the black/white Nike Tiempo Legend V is one of the best looking boots we've seen so far this season. With Nike keeping their contracted players in the launch colourway we're not expecting it to feature too much on the pro scene but it's a nailed on cert to be popular everywhere else. Luke Brattan knows it.

Javi Acuna (Osasuna) NikeiD HyperVenom

Like Anelka, Osasuna's Acuna has sorted himself out with a custom pair of white/black Nike HyperVenoms. The on-loan Watford man has stripped back the style to create a classy look that's a big step away from the brighter paint jobs to land on the silo.

Maya Yoshida (Southampton) Mizuno Wave Ignitus III

Maya Yoshida gave us a first glimpse at the next Mizuno Wave Ignitus 3 colourway as Southampton progressed into the 5th round of the FA Cup at the expense of Yeovil at the weekend. The Japanese defender works closely with his fellow countrymen at Mizuno and the new paint job is a typically mental Ignitus drop.

Daniel Baier (FC Augsburg) Nike HyperVenom

The new blue/black/volt HyperVenom seems to have been around for a while now. The boot has already been worn by Kevin-Prince Boateng and Robert Lewandowski but the latest colourway was only officially released earlier this week and Augsburg's Daniel Baier has wasted no time getting hold of a pair to personalise and slip on.
