After a weekend packed with goals, goals and more goals we take a look at which football boots the goalscorers are wearing in Europe's top four leagues. Each week we'll have a re-cap on the action to see which boot came out on top from the weekend's games and which boots are leading overall.
Using our accurate SoccerBible Boot Index we've tallied up the goals scored in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Primera Division and Serie A to see who's wearing what when it comes to sticking the ball in the back of the net. Own goals don't count, everything else goes.
The Nike HyperVenom has come out as the early front runner after 7 games of the Premier League season. Adnan Januzaj's brace combined with strikes from Sturridge, Bent, Gayle and Winston Reid ensured the HyperVenom remained on top of the pile ahead of the F50 and Predator which are tied on 24 goals.
In the Bundesliga it's starting to look like a three horse race already as far as goalscoring boots are concerned. The lack of Predator goals means that all adidas' eggs are thrown into their F50 basket as it leads a trio of Nike silos. Hamburg's Pierre-Michel Lasogga smashed in a first half hat trick to keep the HyperVenom in the mix and the PUMA evoSPEED sneaks into the top 5 thanks to goals from Choupo-Moting and Stuttgart's Martin Harnik.
A big weekend of goals for the Nike Mercurial resulted in it drawing level with the adidas F50 at the top of the leaderboard in La Liga. Morata and Ronaldo both notched for their respective boots as the duo of speed silos sit comfortably ahead of the adidas Predator. Will it be a two horse race? Looks that way, Diego Costa and Ronaldo are currently taking advantage of the injured Bale and Messi. A blank weekend for the PUMA evoSPEED saw it overtaken by the HyperVenom but remains in the top 5.
The Italians love a Nike boot, the Mercurial tops the charts with a cushty 44 goals ahead of the F50, HyperVenom and CTR. The Nike Tiempo muscles its way into the top 5 after finishing the weekend as the top scoring boot with 6 goals including one from Andrea Pirlo. No place in the top 5 for the Predator or the evoSPEED.
