Nike's new unmissable Hi-Vis pack dominated the boot spotting action as each of the brand's silos were rolled out across the globe this week. New colourways, custom paint jobs and a couple of random oldies feature in your weekly round up of who's wearing what...
Ryo Miyaichi (Arsenal) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX |
Young Arsenal winger Ryo Miyaichi may not have got on against Swansea on Saturday but he gave us a look at his new Mercurials. The latest colourway made it's on pitch debut at the weekend and Miyaichi was sporting unique personalisation on his pair as he watched his side come away from Wales with a 2-1 win. |
Marcos Senna (New York Cosmos) adidas Predator LZ |
Former Villarreal and Spain midfielder Marcos Senna moved Stateside over the summer to link up with the famous New York Cosmos. Senna, who played in adidas Predators for the majority of his career has taken advantage of one of the US exclusive colourways by lacing up in the electricity LZ to notch the winner as his side beat the Tampa Bay Rowdies 4-3. |
Paul Pogba (Juventus) Nike CTR360 Maestri III |
Paul Pogba gave his new CTR's a goalscoring start as he bagged the only goal in Juventus' Serie A victory over Torino on Sunday. The latest CTR is part of Nike's new Hi-Vis pack which was rolled out at the weekend and will be worn throughout the winter months by Nike's athletes. |
Vincent Kompany (Manchester City) Warrior Skreamer |
Vincent Kompany repped his new Warrior Skreamer colourway during City's 3-2 defeat at Villa. The brightest Skreamer release so far, the boot is enhanced with rebound technology for greater comfort, with specifically angled ClawTec Blades to make them fast and easy to control. |
Gennaro Sardo (Chievo) Lotto Solista |
The Lotto Solista created a bit of noise when it was launched as the world's first reflective football boot but due to the low number of Lotto athletes hasn't been a regular spot on pitch. Chievo's Gennaro Sardo was flying the Solista flag against Juventus in midweek, an interesting boot that when caught right by the floodlights is visually impressive. |
Pedro Morales (Malaga) Nike GS2 |
We thought the Nike GS2 was gone. Eden Hazard hung onto a pair for a while and when he retired his we thought that was that but this week Malaga's Pedro Morales plucked out a pair to wear against Real Valladolid. The GS2 was a limited edition boot released back in November 2012 and remains as Nike's lightest football boot at 160g. |
Ki Sung-Yueng (Sunderland) Nike Tiempo Legend IV |
The brightest release in Nike's new Hi-Vis pack comes in the shape of the Tiempo, you can't miss it on pitch and Sunderland's on loan midfielder Ki stood out in a pair as Sunderland continued their abysmal start to the season by losing 3-1 at home to Liverpool. |
Anthony Pilkington (Norwich City) adidas F50 adizero |
Amongst the boot spotting action at the Brittania Stadium on Sunday was Anthony Pilkington's whiteout F50s. The whiteout colourway wasn't supported by adidas' contracted adizero players but Pilkington reminded us how slick they look as Norwich nicked a 1-0 win at Stoke on weekend of surprise results in the Premier League. |
Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) Nike HyperVenom |
Wayne Rooney slipped into Nike's new Hi-Vis HyperVenom at the weekend and didn't take long to open his account in them as his free-kick sneaked/snook/snuck into the corner of West Brom's goal. Rooney's goal was the only highlight of the afternoon as Moyes' miserable start continued at United with West Brom taking all three points with a 2-1 win. |
Kim Changsoo (Kashiwa Reysol) Nike Tiempo Super Ligera III |
We were originally a little bit stumped with this one to be honest but a few of you have since informed us that Kim Changsoo is wearing the Nike Tiempo Super Ligera III, a Japanese release. Looks wise it's a strange blend of T90 Supremacy and Tiempo and is quite popular over in the Far East. |
Alex Kenyon (Morecambe) miadidas Predator LZ |
Deep down into the fourth tier of English football and Morecambe's Alex Kenyon has been busy on miadidas. Kenyon has created a pair of custom black and white Predator LZ's almost exactly the same as the pair Jonjo Shelvey has been wearing for Swansea. A simplistic design which edges towards the more classic Pred style. |
