FC Barcelona Team Up With EA Sports FIFA 14 - Football News

FIFA have announced that FC Barcelona have agreed to a three-year partnership with EA SPORTS. Fully-scanned likenesses from 17 Barca players will feature in FIFA 14, as will the iconic Camp Nou, which makes its triumphant return. The new screenshot EA have released features Neymar wearing the new HyperVenom and Messi in his signature f50.

The partnership will make EA SPORTS the exclusive and official video game partner of FC Barcelona, which will see the return of the Nou Camp to the game. Through the partnership, EA SPORTS captured 3D head scans of 17 F.C. Barcelona stars such as Xavi, Piqué, Fàbregas, Alves, and Iniesta, and they will appear as stunning, high-quality and authentic 3D digital player models. 
 

With 1.6 million FIFA players choosing Barcelona as their club last year we reckon this news will be welcomed, those 1.6 million fans have won almost 40 million games in FIFA 13. We'd love to know how many goals Messi has notched in those games. That number will no doubt rise in FIFA 14 when fans will get the chance to play with Neymar and Messi, a pretty frightening prospect.

We're going to have to bomb off our online Everton team in search for an upgrade, either that or get Johnny Heitinga to man mark both of them. #chop. Cover star Messi will also take on his teammates as Barca host an FIFA 14 comp later this year to determine the best player in the squad. Our money's on Busquets, bet he's the type that scores a scummy goal then passes the ball round the edge of his box for the rest of the game. 





FIFA 14 will launch on Friday 27th September so get that date in your diary, get all your mates round, tell them to bring their TV's and excessive amounts of refreshments, put the top teams in a hat, pick one out and boom, that's your night/week sorted.
