What's Summer Without Some Colour? - Football Boots

Summer is here and brands tend to get a bit experimental at this time of year. Maybe it's sunstroke or the smell of a freshly cut football pitch going to their heads, whatever it is the 2013 summer line-up of boots caters for players after a brighter vibe.

In amongst a few toned down releases including the Nike Premier, brands have shaken up the game for the player looking to make a different kind of on pitch-statement. In recent years if you wanted a bright coloured look you were restricted to a selection of speed boots but now the majority of silos are getting in on the action.





For some unknown reason you can get away with wearing more garish clobber in the summer, whether it's a dodgy pink vest for your lads holiday or a rascal pair of orange shutter shades, which you bought but will probably never wear, we've all got a few bits in our wardrobe which are better off left in there. The summer gives you a license to be mix things up a bit and it's no different with football boots.



New colourways are dripped in throughout the season but when summer arrives outrageous paint jobs are slapped around harder than Chris Brown's girlfriends; Brands give their boots a lick of summer flavour by releasing colourways that reflect the season and adidas, Nike and Mizuno have all dropped boots with a nod towards the sun and sea.





Vibrant colours such as Volt, Citrus, Bolt, Electricity and Mizuno's Diva Blue are this year's buzz words as brands place their colourful cards on the table ahead of pre-season.
