Andrea Pirlo (Italy) Nike Tiempo Legend IV Elite

First thing's first, we love Andrea Pirlo; his passing, his free-kicks, his tremendously masculine beard, the man is a god. The word legend is used far too often in today's game but it's a status that Pirlo fully deserves. On his 100th cap the Juve midfielder fittingly curled home a trademark free kick to open the scoring against Mexico wearing the new Bone/Volt/Blue colour combo.

Luis Suarez (Uruguay) adidas f50 adizero

Everyone's favourite loveable striker Luis Suarez was back in action at the weekend as Uruguay faced Spain in the Confederations Cup. Suarez curled in a quality free kick against the World and European Champions but it wasn't enough as Spain hung on to win 2-1. The new f50 colourway is a top match for the Liverpool home kit but if Suarez gets his way he won't be wearing them at Anfield next season. After biting and racially abusing Premier League full backs he looks to be jumping before he's pushed/Frimponged.

Alex Morgan (USA) Nike HyperVenom

Ah Alex, it's been a while. As you probably know by now we've got quite an unhealthy obsession with Miss Morgan so we're always on the look out for any excuse to stick her in boots spotting and wearing the HyperVenom is as good excuse as any. Morgan is quickly becoming one of the top women players in the game with her prolific striker rate for the US national team.

Giovani dos Santos (Mexico) Nike CTR360 Maestri III

Quite a lot of you were asking us on Twitter at the weekend what dos Santos was wearing. The Mexican has been wearing a blacked out boot for the last year and on closer inspection it's a CTR. It looks to have been done properly rather than with a permanent marker and creates a decent old school look.

Mario Balotelli (Italy) Nike CTR360 Maestri III

Has Mario Balotelli had enough of the HyperVenom already? The eccentric Italian only played the first half in the HyperVenom against Czech Republic last week before reverting back to his CTR's and he was in the new CTR colourway as Italy beat Mexico 2-1 in the Confederations Cup with Balotelli notching the winner. Happy Mario. Happy team.

Pedro (Spain) Nike Mercurial Vapor IX

The new Mercurial colourway was on show courtesy of Spain's Pedro at the Confederations Cup in Brazil. The Barcelona man was laced up in the new summer paint job with a Merc VII soleplate and opened the scoring against Uruguay. A visually commanding boot on pitch, we're loving the jet black 'Nike' on the bright backdrop on the instep.

Kristie Mewis (USA) adidas Predator LZ

Kristie Mewis scored her first ever goal for the US at the weekend. Mewis was wearing the new women's Predator LZ colourway and once again we reckon a it's a top colour combo, we'd definitely wear it. Saying that, wouldn't it be decent to see adidas swap the pink and blue for classic Predator red? That would win back a few old school Pred fans.

Javier Hernandez (Mexico) Nike Tiempo Legend IV

Chicharito has already been the subject of some transfer speculation this summer with the Mexican only receiving limited opportunities at Old Trafford last season, but when he plays he often scores and the Man United striker netted Mexico's only goal against Italy at the weekend. A long term wearer of the Tiempo and a self confessed fan of white boots, the new Tiempo colourway is right up Hernandez's street.

Shinji Okazaki (Japan) Mizuno Wave Cup Japan

Japan are also out in Brazil for the Confederations Cup and it was the hosts who gave them a ruthless welcome sticking three past Japan without reply. Shinji Okazaki was wearing a patriotic pair of Mizuno Wave Cup Japan boots, a bit of an older model now but with Mizuno's recent releases we can see why they're becoming more and more popular.
