Fernando Torres (Chelsea) adidas Predator LZ

THE boot spot of the weekend. Boot fans around the globe took to forums and leaving article comments, as Torres shocked all by switching to adidas. A potentially monumental move, could the relationship between Torres and Nike football boots have broken down, or could Torres have been swayed by the move team-mate Mata has made?

Guiseppe Bellusci (Catania) Lotto Zhero Gravity 100

The jury is still out (10 years later!) on Lotto's Zhero Gravity boot. There's no denying the revolutionary design to engineer a lace-less boot, but Bellusci is just one of a small number of players to embrace the technology. Bellusci's unique boot choice does endorse the performance of the Gravity at the highest level, even if we haven't seen a large player uptake.

Ritchie De Laet (Leicester City) miadidas Predator LZ 

De Laet is still sporting the custom adidas Predator LZ football boots he debuted just ahead of the New Year. A simple two-tone red and white combination, we're unsure if the influence came from his time at Manchester United, or is just a personal choice.

Danny Graham (Sunderland) Warrior Skreamer K-Lite

Warrior Sports are continuing to make an impression on the Premier League, and after snaring Marouane Fellaini and Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, appear to have tempted Sunderland striker Danny Graham. The forward has previously worn Nike CTR's, but trialled a blacked out pair of the K-Lite Skreamers against Arsenal at the weekend.

Mauricio Pinilla (Cagliari) Umbro GT Pro

Might the future have been different for Umbro if they'd been producing boots like this? Well the answer is probably no(!), but still great to see despite the brand's demise Umbro are still releasing some good looking boots. This volt and black combination is probably the best looking GT we've seen, and would have looked pretty sharp on the feet of Kyle Walker.

Yann Kermorgant (Charlton Athletic) adidas Predator X

We love to find a player, who despite a wealth of modern and redeveloped football boots, has made their mind up and are sticking with an old model. The Champions League edition Predator X was released 2 years ago, but Kermorgant clearly loves the Pred X as he has worn them ever since they were launched.

Sergio Floccari (Lazio) Mizuno Morelia Neo

Not just the boot choice of Hulk, Floccari has taken a liking to the Morelia Neo range after switching from the adizero. The bright yellow colour for sure catches the eye, as does the sole-plate with Floccari wearing a soft ground plate, a version not on general sale to the boot buying public.

Francesco Totti (Roma) Nike Tiempo Legend III Custom

Some things in football are seemingly timeless; like Francesco Totti playing for Roma in Serie A, and the Nike Tiempo Legend III boots. A master doesn't need new tricks, or in Totti's case new kicks, as the Italian legend was sporting the same blacked-out Tiempo's he has worn for a number of years now, following his split from Diadora.

Maynor Figueroa (Wigan) Nike T90 Laser III K

Playing in the same game as Fernando Torres, should Figueroa have flashed his white T90 Laser's in the direction of Torres, as we're sure the striker has fond memories of the boot. An interesting choice from Figueroa though to crack out his old T90's again, as in recent weeks he's mixed it up by also sporting Nike CTR360 Maestri and Mercurial Vapor.
