It was way back in 1994 when EA Sports launched their first football game. A brand that has revolutionised the way we engage with football when not chopping through the blades of grass, it has provided an education off the pitch and formed a unifying element of popular culture. Played daily around the globe by 3 million people, this launch, that ties in with FIFA 17 is one to set the pixels pounding as the all out flair button bashes in truly triumphant form.
Visually, the story being told is one that journeys from 16-bit of 1994 to the 360 experience of today. The medial side, swooshing with animated style, transitions to the lateral side in HD. It's a move through the ages, aesthetically. The finer details not to be outdone, the 'Mercurial' logo has also been squared up to size and pixelated to perfection. The EA Sports logo is also in the mix. All packaged up in a shimmering and specially designed box and carry bag, it's a sewn up instalment that is limited to just 1,500 pairs - all individually numbered.
