Golden Götze Wears Custom Nike Magista : Football Boots : Soccer Bible

Scoring the winning goal in extra time of a World Cup Final pretty much gives you a free license to wear whatever you want for the rest of your career. Mario Götze gave a timely reminder that he's still Germany's golden boy by lacing up in a custom gold Magista Obra this weekend.

As Bayern Munich took another step closer to the Bundesliga title on Saturday with a 3-0 win over Schalke, Götze was sporting his modified golden upper with black Dynamic Fit Collar and Swoosh branding. Mirroring football's ultimate prize, the Magista Obra borrows the shimmer of the Jules Rimet trophy that was won by the left boot of Götze to give the Magista Obra a fairytale debut tournament when it was released ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.



After leaving Brazil with a 24 carrot legendary status, Götze and Germany will look to do the international double in France this summer. Nike have yet to reveal their boot plans for the European Championships but Götze may well hold onto his golden Magista Obra, complete with modified sole-plate, as Bayern aim to reach the Champions League Final and lift the Bundesliga. Where there's Götze, there's gold and silverware.

On closer inspection Götze's footwear feature the date 4.13, meaning they were probably created for Bayern Munich's Champions League Quarter Final second leg against Benfica last Wednesday – a game where Götze and his golden wheels only took to the pitch in the final minute of stoppage time.
