In contrast to the 'Radiant Reveal' line-up Nike have delivered their full FootballX collection in a consistent minimal design that sees the MercurialX Proximo, HypervenomX Proximo and MagistaX Proximo all stripped back to modest monochrome makeovers.
Nike have upgraded their futsal range to elite level to meet the growing demand of small-sided football, and the FootballX collection is their most advanced yet as the nature of five and seven-a-side football is as competitive as it's ever been – the product has to match. The latest batch of colour updates are far more 'Tech Craft' inspired than the bright cleated spring releases currently on pitch, but tidy nonetheless.
An oversized Swoosh dominants the upper of the MercurialX Proximo with each silo incorporating the FootballX branding that runs down the heel and Dynamic Fit Collar. Each shoe is transformed and reinforced in areas vulnerable to abrasion on hard court or artificial turf surfaces to ensure the collection is built with the same attention to detail as Nike put into their on-pitch work.
The HypervenomX Proximo and MagistaX Proximo have been wrapped in minimal designs that both feature trademark aesthetics, such as the jagged print on the Hypervenom and the faded upper of the Magista. As far as futsal drops go, it's a subtle one, but black & white never goes out of style.
