The shift of all of Nike’s collared boots into the small-sided world continues with the new HypervenomX Proximo. Taking everything special from the Hypervenom II and giving it a life without studs, Nike now have three of their top-tier boots available in 'FootballX' form, minus the Tiempo Legend. Unlike the other boots that have been given life away from the pitch, the Hypervenom X shares the same launch colorway as the Hypervenom II. However, unlike its studded sibling, the HypervenomX doesn't have the venom grahpic across the bottom of the shoe.
Where the SuperflyX put you as close to the ground as possible with a minimalist outsole and the MagistaX gave you the full comfort of their Lunarlon technology, the HypervenomX sits perfectly between the two. Not ridiculously thin like the Superfly or given the entirety of a Lunarlon sole like the Magista, the HypervenomX gives a boot that is built for agility with a slightly cushioned sole to aid in Nike’s claim for “deadly agility.” To work its magic on a more abrasive surface, Nike has given the HypervenomX some NikeGrind rubber on high friction areas to aid in durability.
The Nike HypervenomX is available at select online stockists including Pro-Direct Soccer. What we thinking? Drop your comments below.
