From Brazil, with love. Neymar takes the signature spotlight as he cops his second exclusive Nike Hypervenom design.
As he enters his eighth year as a Nike athlete, there's no doubting who Nike's next signature superstar is. His signature line may only stretch to two designs, but already Nike are making the Brazilian's collection one that's impossible to ignore. Last summer, his first signature Hypervenom boots were coated in gold, taking inspiration from Neymar's past, when the boy from Sao Paulo would spray paint his boots gold. This time around we see a new story unfold with the very distinctive
"Chrome/Hyper Pink/Metallic Gold/Neon" Nike Hypervenom Liquid Diamond boots.
Boosted by a platinum decorated NIKESKIN upper and supported with a
"Metallic Gold" tongue, the boots show that you can take the boy out of Brazil, but not the gold out of the boy. Two
"Hyper Pink" and
"Neon" Nike Swooshes adorn the front and heel areas of the boot.
The name of the boot derives from Neymar's playing style and a matching diamond tattoo that he shares with his sister. Max Blau, VP of Nike Football Footwear, explains; "
He attacks the defense with a style so fluid; it reminded us of water flowing between rocks. That is when we started shifting our thoughts from incorporating a nod to diamonds, to creating a liquid diamond aesthetic for the entire upper." Over to you Neymar, show us what you've got.
