We’ve been given an early look at the next Nike Mercurial Superfly IV colourway, seen today on the feet of Roma forward Juan Manuel Iturbe and Bayern Munich midfielder Mitchell Weiser. The upcoming release, dubbed “Laser Orange”, will be the fourth in the new Superfly IV series, following on from the “HyperPunch” launch colourway, “Stealth Pack” editions and the “Electric Green” CR exclusive. The boots will launch later this month as part of Nike’s Fall ’14 collection which will include further updates to all four of Nike’s boot silos.
The “Laser Orange” Superfly IV will replace the “HyperPunch” launch editions as the lead on-pitch colourway for Nike’s sponsored Mercurial players including the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Raheem Sterling. It’s not the first orange Mercurial we’ve seen from Nike, with similar variations stretching back to the “Orange Peel” Mercurial Vapor IV, the “Orange/Black/Volt/Silver” Mercurial Superfly III and the “Orange/Black/Electricity" Mercurial Vapor IX.
