Nike x Sneaker Freaker “Genealogy of Innovation” Book : Books and Magazines : Soccer Bible

Sneaker Freaker has celebrated Nike’s recent Genealogy of Innovation exhibition by publishing a retrospective 240+ page guide book. The story begins in 1971, when the very first footwear to sport a Swoosh was released, 'The Nike', a simplistic leather football boot.

The book focuses on the 200 plus game-changing Nike shoes and football boots, each football boot and sneaker paving the way for today's modern football innovations and trainer tech, shaped by four decades of Nike's development. Sneaker Freaker explore the products further with extensive interviews with Nike designers including Tinker Hatfield and friends of ours, Martin Lotti and Denis Dekovic to understand how these innovative projects come to life. Nike design sketches and vintage Nike advertising are dropped in throughout the book as well as rarely seen prototypes. So where do I get one? Well, unfortunately, this is one of those books that money can’t buy, with Sneaker Freaker only giving away limited copies.
