Nike Reveal USA World Cup Home Kit - Football Shirts

Nike revealed the 2014 USA National Team Home Kit to be worn at the World Cup in Brazil this summer. Combining performance and sustainability Nike have created two heritage-inspired kits for both the U.S men's and women's teams.
 

Combining the best in performance innovation with a classic and bold design, Nike are labelling the new 2014 USA home kit as the ultimate expression of American style in patriotism. It's a simplistic white look for the U.S with grey horizontal pinstripes across the body and sleeves, a reference to the USA's historic tradition of using stripes.

The standout feature of the jersey is the white buttoned polo collar with a red trim and blue trim. Further details include a blue pennant tab on the inside of neck, which features the original thirteen stars of the American Flag, representing the most evocative symbol of American national pride.

The new shorts are white with a red stripe on each side. Simple and iconic, the fit is slimmer and more tailored to the body, with a cut specifically designed to aid movement and comfort.

If the U.S have got any chance of success this summer they'll be relying on the experience of Clint Dempsey who had this to say about the new kit, "It's always an honor to wear the colors of your country, and this summer we will be hard to miss in an all-white look. We will be travelling all over Brazil and playing in a lot of different conditions, so the innovative Nike designs will serve us well."

USWNT striker Alex Morgan, who, let's face it, would still look good wearing a bin bag said, “The cut of the women’s kit fits well and is comfortable, so I don’t have to think about the uniform and can focus on the game at hand.”
