In a new video released by Nike Football, footwear product line manager Aik Leong Lim and footwear design director Denis Dekovic detail the design focus of the Tiempo Legend V and the new performance attributes engineered to deliver one of Nike's best leather football boots to-date.

Lim and Dekovic featured at the helm of the Tiempo Legend V project and incorporated new technology & concepts to deliver Nike's most advanced heritage boot yet. The Nike duo give us a closer insight into the design process of the Tiempo V and how they've applied new innovation to reach their goals.

Speaking on how the Tiempo Legend V has progressed from the previous model Lim and Dekovic explained "The big thing is the consistent fit and touch, delivering a comfortable leather boot that provides the player with a great touch and comfort throughout game. We've developed this new upper package that reduces water intake, it absorbs 73% less water compared to the Tiempo IV and it dries 24% faster and is 88% stronger."

As well as discussing traction and durability Lim and Dekovic touched on the materials of the boot "For touch we're using a very soft and supple leather, together with the mesh this two layer upper package reduces the distance between the foot and the ball. We also added in the Nike All Conditions Control technology which proves the player with an optimum touch in both wet and dry weather."
