Nike England Matters | Episode 3 - Football News

With qualification to the 2014 World Cup secured Nike have released their third England Matters video featuring Wayne Rooney, Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere and Ashley Cole. The dramatic video captures the story behind the crucial final qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland at Wembley.

Nike have injected the video with a dosage of passion and belief and for England fans it's guaranteed to have the hairs standing up on the back of your neck. Theo Walcott and Jack Wilshere talk about playing with no fear and learning from the more senior players in the squad and Ashley Cole underlines the importance of going into battle with those Three Lions on the shirt.





For Wayne Rooney, it's all about winning "As a footballer you play football to win trophies and to be successful, as a centre forward you always get the opportunity to create your own history which is also your country's history."

"What I always think about is winning something with your country, what feeling would it be to win a trophy? It would be incredible and that's what were aiming to do, it would be a moment that would live on forever." Go on Wayne son! Inspirational stuff. Is it all set up nicely for us to scrape through the group stage and get knocked out on pens by the first half decent team we come up against? Not this time. Come on England.
