Inter Milan have unveiled their Nike Home and Away strips for the 2013/14 Serie A season. Both shirts are stylish updates for the Italian club which Nike say are inspired by Milan, the fashion capital of the world.
The famous blue and black stripes have been given a bit of a make over with a darker shade of blue and a wider design which commemorates Inter winning the cup winner's cup 50 years ago. But the biggest change is around the neck with an addition of a grandad style collar on both shirts.
At the back of the shirt is a semi-circle insert, which Nike say is inspired by high fashion, and there are also two side splits with black inserts. The Shirt is complimented by black shorts with a blue stripe on either side and the socks are black with two blue horizontal blue lines at the back.
The away shirt is a simple and stylish affair that is inspired by classic menswear and it is here that the grandad collar really come into its own. The Shirt is mainly white with a blue collar and blue cuffs on the sleeves. The Cuffs also feature two horizontal black and blue stripes and the back insert seen on the home shirt also features.
Both the home and away shirts are decorated inside the neck with a red-and-white cross, the coat of arms for the city of Milan. The away shirt is paired with white shorts with a blue stripe on either side and white socks, again with two blue horizontal blue lines at the back.
Made with Nike's Dri-FIT technology, the kit weighs just 150 grams, 23 percent lighter than previous kits. It boasts a 20 percent stronger knit structure and significantly improved stretch. Nikes commitment to the environment continues with the shirt and shorts of each kit being made from up to 13 recycled plastic water bottles.
