Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Leather Football Boots - Black/White/Red - Football Boots

Players have been crying out for a black leather Mercurial for a number of seasons and now the wait is over, Nike have finally delivered. The swoosh have served up a piece of footballing perfection by placing a black leather upper on their Mercurial Vapor IX.

We're aware that there's a group of players who are keen to try out the Mercurial but are put off by fruity colourways and the new Mercurial IX is for those players. Leather speed boots are in higher demand than ever before, numerous players want the lightest boot they can possibly wear but without losing that leather feel.





If you're a fan of speed boots but would rather let your feet do the talking than trying to draw attention by associating yourself with colours such as 'Citrus', 'Volt' and 'Berry' then you're in luck. The upper of the boot is engineered with lightweight, leather grain Teijin to deliver a top level of support and touch. Nike's All Conditions Control (ACC) technology is also wired into the Mercurial IX so the boot is as effective in wet conditions as it is in dry weather.

The K-leather used on the upper of the Mercurial Vapor IX is super soft and supple to ensure it forms around the foot to create the best possible fit, while a lightweight perforated sockliner mirrors the foot's natural shape to create low profile cushioning.





Nike have taken a step back from their vibrant colourways to design a simple black and white boot, which you could argue is equally as eye-catching for different reasons, sometimes less is more. The bold white swoosh, and 'Nike' and Mercurial' prints are projected out on the black base and the subtle red details on the tongue and studs give the boot a few quality finishing touches.





A synthetic version of the boot has also been released along with blacked out versions of the CTR, Tiempo and HyperVenom. So there you have it, you asked and Nike came up trumps with the goods, a black and white Mercurial Vapor IX looks as good it sounds.
