Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Football Boots - Neptune Blue/Volt/Blue - Football Boots

Rounding off Nike's new line of Spring 2013 boots is the Neptune Blue/Volt/Blue Mercurial Vapor IX. Infused with three tones of pop colour and a unique white out-sole, there's something different about this Mercurial. On the inside of the boot, Nike's overzealous branding is called out in bright pink.

Nike barley gave us time to breathe following the full-throttle launch of the Mercurial V9. After a month or so settling into the game, the boots are back demanding our attention. The new Neptune Blue/Volt/Blue Mercurial Vapor IX will arrive on pitch this week as international fixtures get underway.





No boot delivers explosive speed and style like the Nike Vapor. They're football's longest serving speed boot, built for high-powered acceleration and delivered in dynamic, bold fashion. The Neptune Blue/Volt/Blue Mercurial V9 will be adopted by some of football's best attacking players including Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo & Eden Hazard.  





Combining performance innovation and a heritage of lightweight boots for fast players, the Nike Mercurial Vapor IX takes this to the next level for players who rely on tight cuts and turns combined with bursts of explosive speed to beat the opposition.  





The Mercurial Vapor IX is engineered with a completely new upper to deliver a level of support and touch for players to deliver a deadly combination of speed and skill when it matters most. Nike’s new Speed Control texture on the upper gives players the confidence to perform at speed with enhanced friction.





The Speed Control texture wraps around the foot, giving the boot friction when necessary without compromising on the soft touch the player requires. The upper also locks down the foot and prevents unnecessary movement within the boot, while a minimal and soft heel area maximizes comfort and therefore the performance of those wearing them.

The Mercurial Vapor IX features the same unique, lightweight plate as the Vapor VIII, incorporating two different pieces of glass fiber that increase flexibility and responsiveness, providing energy return in the heat of the game.  






The Neptune Blue/Volt/Blue Mercurial Vapor IX will on on pitch this week. Keep an eye out for lead athletes Cristiano Ronaldo, Mario Götze and Zlatan Ibrahimovic - players all on international duty.
